These should look pretty familiar to anyone that's built anything for Anchordeep before.
Use CEP 2.2B
Keep the areas to 16x16 or less. If you really need more space in an area and can't break it up into separate areas, please let me know so we can talk about it.
All doors and transitions need to have a [Origin]_to_[Destination] and the waypoint on the other end should be [Destination]_from_[Origin]
Try to give your areas a consistency in naming. That is if you're doing a bunch of areas in an Anchordeep Warehouse, use that at the beginning and append the more specific parts of the name to end. For example: Anchordeep Warehouse - Ground Floor. Please, no areas named Area001...
If you're comfortable doing simple scripted events go ahead, but make sure you let me know what you've done.
You can create custom monsters and encounters, but please let me place them, as well as the loot. Create them and save them as blueprints, and if you have any thoughts about where they should go let me know.
I'll make the final transitions into the world mod.
I'm really excited about the enthusiasm of the team we have coming together. If anyone has any questions or needs help with something please post it here. We can be a resource to each other through this.

On that note,
ReplyDeleteThe blueprint for the first area you create in ANY mod is, by default going to be "area001". You need to change this. The only way to change it is by making a copy of the area, changing the blueprint on the copy when it prompts you, and then deleting the old area. If you've already put doors in with link, be advised you'll have to redo those links.
