NPC Back Story Creation

I've completed back stories for Madamme Mimm and her husband as well as Cran, the smith in Anchordeep. I've also completed a story for Cheech & Chong at the casino and for Nyatar.

Let me know where you would like these posted and I'll put them up for everyone's review. These are just drafts, if anyone has a better idea or would like to recommend a change, let's talk about it.

It would be helpful if I knew which NPCs were going to be of primary focus in the new mod so I could work on their back stories first.

  1. Mask has the material I have worked up for the thieves guild, and my brief overview of the changing complexion of religion in the city. It might be a good idea to post it all so that Balor and I are not stepping on each others toes or making continuity gaffs. Currently working on Hon.

As long as you are asking for suggestions I'll tell you I already asked Mask if we could ditch Cheech and Chong on the basis of silliness. If the casino is to be kept intact I might suggest that we at least change their names to something more appropriate for the campaign setting. Personally I'm not big on the casino as it is currently functioning. I'd rather see it as a public house, or perhaps a high end brothel. Making it a brothel would give me more fodder for my guild characters, and making it a public house would eliminate the very clever, though awkwardly executed, games of chance that do nothing to enhance the server RP.

  2. I thought we already had a brothel of sorts at Madamme Clio's.

I agree that there needs to be a place for us to post things for all to review so we are not "stepping on each other's toes" and so we can maintain continuity.

I've talked with Mask and Sune about this. We should be getting a "mod team only" section set up in the forums for this purpose.

  3. I've posted about the Casino in the new forums. It seriously needs a revamp in focus and location. Cheech and Chong, they can either be renamed, relocated, reassigned or removed entirely.

  4. Also posted a synopsis of the overall AD political, martial and religious setting. That should help some Balor, with identifying and targeting primary/important NPCs.
